On The Translation Of China English Words In The Translation Of Political Texts

This translation project report is based on the translation of2012Report on the Work ofShandong Provincial Government, translated by the author in person as a translation practice.Given the fact that certain translation practice of political texts and their related studies lacktheoretical guidance, this report focuses on China English words in light of the theory offunctional equivalence translation. Through translation process study and in-depth analysison typical cases from the project, the author has put forward feasible strategies on translatingChina English words in political text translation and also given suggestions on otheroperational issues occurred in the translation project. Generally, this report aims tosummarize the translation project so that it may provide reference on concrete operation fortranslation practice of the similar kind. Most importantly, it will be helpful for foreigners tobetter read and understand the relevant political texts so as to promote the friendly exchangesbetween Chinese and foreigners.
