In the past several decades, Comprehensive Chinese Teaching Course has made significant progresses on some aspects. However the concept "knowledge is more important than skill" still deeply ingrained in people’s mind, hence impacts the teaching method and effect, especially for the advantage level of foreign students. In order to help solve the corresponding problem, through research on the relevant documents and previous studies, task-based teaching approach, as the latest development of communicative approach has been found to be a effective teaching method to meet the foreign students’need. At present in China, it has been widely used in the field of English teaching, and has achieved remarkable results. However, in teaching Chinese as a foreign language it is still in the experimental stage,In order to verify the existing problems and understand the actual needs of the students, this paper selects a certain amount of the advanced level of foreign students (above HSK5) as the samples and then did A, B two surveys. In order to well prepare the curriculum design, this paper has also collected the students’interest on input materials, activities, topics. After analysis on the survey result, this paper selected "fifth books--Integrated Curriculum Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language in Twenty-First Century" as the pilot textbook. Among the book, Lesson Three, regarding "consumption culture in holiday" has been selected as the example to make the curriculum design.In the design of8classes for Lesson Three, on the basis of task-based teaching theory, various task-based activities, such as cosplay, debate, group research have been included. Video, newspapers, research reports, online articles, which are able to reflect the current social hot spots have been selected as input materials for task-based teaching. In each class, the length of the activities, task objectives, roles of teachers and students and task achievement evaluation standard have been designed. This paper has also designed the Teacher Self-assessment form and student evaluation form, in order to obtain valuable comments and suggestions to improve the future task-based teaching.Through this real case curriculum design, this paper proposes to expand the application of the task-based teaching approach in Comprehensive Chinese Teaching Course for the advantage stage of Foreign Students.
