The coming of the network age has provided new requirements for crisis public relation of government. On one hand, with the great change of political and economic structure in society, redistribution of interests and power among different groups has brought unstable factors, which has increased the possibility of the crisis events. On the other hand, network has not only provided a platform for audience to speak freely, but also created an environment for public communications between audience and the government. In this case, public trust of government will be in imminent danger if the old and passive processing mode of crisis events has been still used.In the past years, crisis events in Shanxi have frequently taken place, at least, one of which has changed into nationwide crisis events per year, which has showed that Shanxi is a high incidence area of crisis events. Thus, it’s immediacy to realize the significance of governmental crisis public relation. On the background of improving crisis public relation ability of government in China, Shanxi government has unveiled Four Regulations (2007) to make it clear to clarify the constructional goal of government website, meanwhile, emphasized the necessity and importance of network crisis public relation of government. So this thesis analyzes three typical crisis events in Shanxi, which include Event of Black Brickkiln, Earthquake Rumor and Vaccine with Four Regulations (2007) as a division.Theoretically, this thesis concludes the new requirements for crisis public relation of government in the network age, by means of literature analysis and case analysis. Practically, with the three events, the current situation of crisis public relation of government is discussed, the improperness of government’s behavior and its cause is summarized, last but not the least, strategy of crisis public relation is proposed in this thesis. In general, this thesis aims at converting passive position of government in crisis public relation thoroughly, strengthening public trust of government, so as to find out chances, instead of danger.
