Belt conveyor, as the most important modern bulk material conveyingequipment, was widely used in several industrial production fields. At present,long distance, large capacity, high speed, high power, a series of significantcharacteristics have become the main development direction of large beltconveyor. According to the traditional rigid body dynamics analysis method,there is a big error in calculated results in the large belt conveyor design, and itcan’t fully grasp the conveyor inherent dynamic characteristics. Therefore, thatintegrating dynamics characteristic of belt viscoelasticity and starting andbraking and tensioning device has become a necessary design method tolarge-scale belt conveyor.The paper researches and analyzes conveyor belt static and dynamiccharacteristics and viscoelastic characteristics, and establishes longitudinalvibration and the transverse vibration equation of conveyor belt, and deducesequivalent elastic modulus of conveyor belt. It adopts Kelvin-Voigt model toestablish discrete dynamic model and kinetic equation of conveyor belt, anddetermines the dynamics model and kinetic equation of the tensioning device,driving device, redirecting device and the braking device. It uses finite elementanalysis method to establish the starting and braking model of head tensioningtype belt conveyor, and determines the calculating method of the mass, externalforce, stiffness and damping rectangle parameters in the dynamics equation ofdiscrete model. It puts to use the mechanical and signal control elements ofAMESim software to establish belt conveyor discrete model, and deduces a newacceleration braking curve, and analyzes conveyor belt tension in differentacceleration size of different starting time and the head and tail drum speed andthe tensioning device displacement and speed in a certain time, and ensures thebest acceleration starting curve as well as the best starting time,and comparesand gets the similarities and differences between the inverse sine accelerationcurve and the inverse parabolic acceleration curve on the conveyor downtimeeffect.
