Enlightenment Theory To Translation Studies Essence Solution Guwenying Translation Problems

This thesis is going to discuss the application of the theories and principles about translation in translating The Miscellany of Banqiao. The Miscellany of Banqiao, written by Yu Huai of the Qing Dynasty, tells stories about many famous prostitutes in Jinling at the end of the Ming Dynasty. There is also great historical value in this book. So it is meaningful to translate this book. And to do this well, I applied Nida’s theory of "Functional Equivalence" and Newmark’s theory of "Communicative Translation" in my translation.
