Ceramics is the most important creation and one of the most outstanding contributions to the world that Chinese people ever made. Not only the ceramic trades strengthened the links between China and the world, it is also a media spread Chinese culture to other countries and regions. There is long history of ceramic manufacturing in China, and Ming Dynasty is a commanding height. Celadon once reached its peak in the Song Dynasty, but in several hundred years, it finally came to the end. Other types of ceramics were created; it was the prime of the ceramic manufacturing. Basically, Jingdezhen is the reason that ceramics manufacturing in Ming Dynasty had such a high achievement. The Ming Dynasty government set up official kiln in the Ceramics Capital, established the official kiln system, so the ceramics production in Jingdezhen entered a time that both official kiln and folk kiln coexisted. At the same time, the blue and white porcelain became the most popular kind of ceramics, and occupied the absolutely majority of the whole market. The study that has been made mostly focus on the official kiln ceramics. This article will focus on the white and blue porcelain which made in the folk kilns. And also we will make an effort to explain the development and the cultural connotations of blue and white porcelain of Jingdezhen folk in Ming Dynasty.
