Time adverb in modern Chinese is an important part of modern Chinesevocabulary, because of its semantic abstraction, usage is unique, in addition to theexisting research results and no effective guidance to teaching Chinese as a secondlanguage, so, time adverbs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language teaching hasalways been one of the important and difficult points.This paper selects the" international Chinese teaching Chinese characters withsyllables, vocabulary grading"(2010) the popularization level vocabulary in40timeadverbs to investigate. The results show that, the time adverb error types are dividedinto four kinds: omission, wrong sequence, error and error generation. Through thethorough analysis, the paper summarizes the errors produced is due to the negativetransfer of mother tongue, the purpose of language negative transfer and in the processof teaching factors and other aspects of the outcome. The third chapter and the40timeadverb sentence position, grammatical features, pragmatic environment are analyzed.Finally, this paper puts forward the teaching Chinese as a foreign language time adverbseveral suggestions and teaching should pay attention to the issue, hope for the timeadverb in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and reference.
