Chinese is the language that lacks of morphological changes, Which oftenexpresses different grammatical meaning with the change of function words and wordorder. Most Chinese Function Words meaning is empty, which makes it difficult forforeigners to understand its meaning and usage. Preposition is an important part ofspeech parts of speech systems in the Chinese Function Words, Which plays animportant role in Chinese expression. Although it just occupies a small number in theChinese vocabulary system, it has rich sense, diverse usage, and it hasn’t correspondingthe parts of speech in the Korean, which make many Korean students feel confusionwhen learning Chinese preposition.The four Chinese prepositions “gei、dui、xiang、chao” is often used in theexpression of the communication, whether written or oral. These four prepositions arerelatively close to each other in the semantics and grammer, but there are somedifferences can be found amongthem. They can be exchanged with each other in someoccasions, while others can’t. In addition, the four Chinese prepositions can betranslated into Lattice particle“/”in Korean. And there is not much differencein these four words. These cause some trouble for Korean students to distinguish themand cause many errors.This thesis is mainly divided into four parts. In the first part, it introduces themeaning and usage of the preposition “gei、dui、xiang、chao”. In the second part, itstudies the Korean students’ acquisition of the four prepositions, and sorts out Koreanstudents’ common errors by investigating in detail. In the third part, it analyzes thecommon errors and carries out the reasons for the errors. In the end, it puts forwardsome suggestions and advice for preposition teaching for Korean students.
