Middle School Students' Forgiveness Tendency And The Relationship Between The Mental Health

In recent years, people are paying more and more attention to forgiveness. Relations between forgiveness and mental health were always as one of the important contents in studies of forgiveness psychology abroad. This study explored the development level of forgiveness by means of questionnaire and interview, surveys863middle school students from3different schools in Tianjin; attempts to explore the relationship between forgiveness, revenge, depression, anxiety, and satisfaction of life; as the advices for the school to promote the forgiveness ability of students and improve their mental health. And we propose referential.The results of this study were mainly as follows:(1) The Forgiveness Scale have good reliability and validity, and can be effectively measured the corresponding status of the Students’forgiveness. The results support the effectiveness of the scale.(2) Most middle school students have high forgiveness level, but some student still need to improve their forgiveness level.(3) Disposition demographic variables on the forgiveness, the type of school on the forgiveness tend to have a significant impact. And the influences of gender and grade are:for Grade8, girls’ forgiveness are significantly higher than boys’ forgiveness; for girls, the forgiveness of Senior High Grade Three are higher than Senior High Grade two.(4) There was a significant positive correlation between forgiveness, revenge, depression, anxiety and satisfaction of life.
