Southern Thailand is located at the narrowest part of Indo-China Peninsula,north of it borders the Captail Bankok and south of it borders Malaysia. Compare with other Thailand region,This district is far more different on Geography,History and even Social environment. The most notable thing about the south Thailand’s over-sea Chinese is that no matter the amount nor the breadth of distributing even nor the wealth they possession, these all stand on the first place of all Thailand.The history of Chinese Teaching in southern thailand is very long,and nowadays no matter on teaching method or the philosophy or other places it’s still at the leading place of Thailand. So,it’s meaningful to have a reach on southern Thailand’s Chinese teaching,it even can let us to feel the oversea Chinese’s affection to their mother language,and the strongly expect of the long lasting of their own culture. In the process of our study, we have visited some Representative schools that contains Universities,High schools and Primary schools. We have collected a lot of important information by Using the method of giving questionnaire and interviews. These information greatly support this thesis’s opinions.By introduce the history and present situation of Chinese teaching in southern Thailand, the article showed us each part of Chinese teaching, for example the teaching material and the mode of teaching and so on. Summarize the advantage and disadvantage of Chinese teaching in southern Thailand, and why it has a special meaning when compare with other places in Thailand. At last, the article give some acceptable advises and suggestions and discuss the future of Chinese teaching in southern Thailand. These advises and suggestions not only pay close attention to the Curriculum and Teaching plan but also analyse the special situation of the student there,for example,we have analysed a complicated case that students whose mother language is Malay study Chinese in a school which use Thai to teach Chinese,and after that we give them a suitable suggestion too.After this we made a outlook on the future of Chinese teaching of southern Thailand.The earlier articles which study on the Chinese teaching in Thailand almost all concern the situation of middle Thailand and take Bangkok as the most influential example.Most of them are telling history of Chinese teaching schools’ development and how the Thailand government control the Chinese teaching in different times,for example they show a lot detail of laws which the government restricted the Chinese schools, they all have a general opinion but not specific. This article, however, concerns about the southern Thailand, show a lot of details like the historical influence of the Communist party there, the Malaysia and Singapore tourists’ influence,the huge number of Malay people, and the multiple language situation here, the Violent attacks to the teachers from theTerrorism of southern Thailand.And also analyze how these special circumstances affected the local Chinese teaching. These are the innovations of this article. Limited by the length and my ability, this article’s content was still scratching the surface of southern Thailand’s Chinese teaching,I hope this little effort was useful to the ones who concern about southern Thailand’s Chinese teaching and I wish the Chinese teaching there have a better future too.
