According to the survey of the domestic classes of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, multimedia technology in teaching Chinese as a foreign language has its own auxiliary function and also problems. With the rapid development of science and technology, multimedia teaching has become an important mean by its graphic audio-visual features. As China’s foreign Chinese teaching enterprise develop greatly, the multimedia in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language is used increasingly widely. In different aspects of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the practicability and applicability of the multimedia are different.Through the comparison with the traditional teaching, and the survey of the usage of multimedia in the class, the author found that the multimedia works particularly efficiently of Chinese characters teaching which has its individuality and difficulty, and oral Chinese teaching which is very important in all levels’ Chinese learning. Therefore, the author chose those two above as an example to analyze the advantage and problems of multimedia teaching, trying to draw a solution.Full text is divided into five parts:the first chapter is introduction which mainly introduces the subject research background and research method. The second chapter introduces the basic theory and the questionnaire survey analysis. Chapter3and4study character teaching and oral teaching respectively. Chapter5is epilogue which summarized the article.
