Objective: By the analysis of the psychological system of the school fear of the subjects,this research intends to intervene those subjects with fear psychology by means ofMeta-cognition Intervention Technique. Besides, the research also means to test the effect ofmeta-cognition intervention technique towards intervening the school fear and the influenceof the joining of emotion advance organizers to school fear intervention in the course ofintervening.Methodology: This research selects30interviewees, who have been suffering fromschool fear since September,2007and volunteered to come to the Psychological ConsultativeCenter of Liaoning Normal University for consultation, as its subjects qualified for theexperiment. On the basis of the experimental design of ABBA, the subjects are distributed totwo teams according to the visiting order:15in each team, the experimental team (with thejoining of emotion advance organizers) and the control team (without the joining of emotionadvance organizers). Through analyzing the scores of SCL-90and SAS of the subjects beforeand after the intervention by using T-test, the research is to testify the effect of meta-cognitionintervention technique and analyze the differences of intervening effect between the joining ofemotion advance organizers and the non-joining of emotion advance organizers in the courseof treatment.Result: The subjects of the experimental team and control team have obvious differencesbetween the scores of SCL-90and SAS before and after the applying of meta-cognitionintervention technique. After the intervention, the scores of SCL-90and SAS of theexperimental team are apparently higher than the control team.Conclusion: The effect of meta-cognition intervention technique is obvious to treatschool fear. Whether to add emotion advance organizers are vital for the treating effect in thecourse of treating school fear by using meta-cognition intervention technique.
