Ci is a representative literary style of Song Dynasty. But it was not a relatively independentdiscipline until the20thcentury. Most scholars focused on the perspective of the literature, andsome of them dealt with the rhyme of Ci. For example, The Rules and Forms of Ci written byWan Shu, The Collection of Tunes of Ci poems of Imperial Collection, The Poetry Theory ofChinese written by Wang Li, The Rhythm of China written by Xie Yingxian, and so on. Theyhave made important achievements in the study of Ci, but there were still some flaws in theirresearch of Songci’s Cipu. These writings of Ci were mostly based on the famous works, at thesame time, they were incomplete and one-sided. In addition, the collection of Ci they included intheir works was either too few or too complex.This paper will study the18Cipais, the988Ci poems, which words number betweenforty-seven and forty-nine in the book Quan Song Ci which edited and supplied by TangGui-zhang and Kong Fanli. At the same time, we will extensively absorb the new achievementson Songci in recent years, such as The Revised Quan Song Ci with Detailed Notes written by ZhuDecai, Several Revisions of Quan Song Ci by Ren Dekui, The Supplements of Song Jin Yuan Ciby Shi Zhecun..For the accuracy and authority of the study, all the collating works, the wordswhich only have titles, the works with many missing words, the works written by anonymousauthors, the three kinds of novel Ci in the appendix and the works of Ci which only have lessthan five works are not included in this paper.This paper will adopt literature research method, statistical analysis method and inductiveanalysis method. We will analyze the works of forty-seven words to forty-nine words throughstatistics, screening, marking tones, concluding and summing up the sentence pattern forcomplete, systematic and authoritative conclusion about the study of metrical lyrics.This paper consists of five parts:The first chapter is Introduction. In this chapter, I will introduce the origin of this study, thecontent and materials of research, and the research methods. To be specific, the first section willintroduce the status in the study of Ci, list the research achievements and some flaws, and pointout the research values. The second section will introduce the research materials and researchcontents. The third section will introduce the research methods used in this paper.The second chapter is a brief introduction of metrical lyrics. This part is divided into foursections. The first section will introduce the names and characteristics of Ci. The second section will introduce the related knowledge of tunes. The third section will present the classification ofCi. The last section is the knowledge about rhyme. All the knowledge lays the foundation for thestudy of the following analysis.The third chapter is the analysis of specific Cipu format. This part is the main body of thepaper. Through detailed statistics, we will analyze and study eighteen Cipais, nine hundred andeighty-eight Ci Poems in Quan Song Ci, including the tune, the tune of overall situation, systemanalysis, summary and other aspects.The fourth chapter is analysis of specific poems rhyme. This part will take the term “thesixteen she”(十六摄) in the traditional Chinese phonology as the key link to analyze the rhymeof each Cipai in detail,including the even tone rhyme, the narrow tone rhyme, the entering tonerhyme, shang-qu-tong-ya, ping-ze-hu-xie, ping-ze-zhuan-yun, and so on.The fifth chapter is epilogue. This part will summarize and conclude some basic theses inthis paper.
