The research on the rhythm of Ci(?)has been an important aspect of Ci study,having drawed the attention of scholars for a long time.With the progress of research methods and the enrichment of research materials,the criticism of Ci(?)and Ci(?)theory have maken great achievements.However,when it comes to the rhythm of Ci(?),we usually find that previous research resuls are not comprehensive enough because of the defects in the research methods or the limited range of showing a one-sided tendency.The Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties is the original period of Ci(?),the music still maintaining a close relationship with this kind of literature.In this time Ci(?)presents a unique style that is different from the later,some formats being inherited and developed by the descendents and others vanishing from then on due to various reasons.At present,there is still no Specialized works about the rhythm of Ci(?)in Tang Dynasty,and this paper is a part of a series of research in the Cipu(??)of Xiaoling(??)which is consist of 45 to 50 words in QuanTangWudaici.This paper is in based on the book named QuanTangWudaici which edited by Zeng Zhaomin.Through comprehensive investigation,with the reference to Guangyun,anylizing the initial consonant,simple or compound vowel and the tone of Chinese syllable in the works of QuanTangWudaici,we could get different Ci(?)brands.Besides comparing the rhyme with the regulation on the poem and sixteen She(?),we tried to describe the character of the pronunciation in this time.This research will have a certain effect on Cipu,the history of Ci(?)and the phonology.This paper is divided into six parts,the specific contents are as follows:The introduction part includes the significance of this topic,the current research situation at home and abroad,and description of the style of this article;The first chapter is the summary of Ci-mainly make an explaination of what is Ci(?)in general,the meaning of Cidiao,the origination and development of Ci(?),and briefly introduce the earliest collection of literati Ci-Huajianji and Zunqianji,including most of works in this paper;The second and the third chapter is the research on specialized Cipu(??)-had a systematic analysis and induction on twenty-three Cidiao(??)and one hundred and forty-one works,summing up the Cipu(??)of twenty-three Cidiao(??),with abundant examples;The fourth chapter make a statistics and analysis of poem rhyme of the whole Tang and Five Dynasties,amounting to one hundred and forty-one poems,so that we could compare it with the two hundred and six rhyme(?????)and the sixteen she(???)in the form of a list,in order to find the features of the rhythm and phonetic of the Tang and Five Dynasties;The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the content of the full text.
