Rural youth occupies a large proportion in our country population; they areundoubtedly a noticeable strength in China’s modernization process. Under the impactof waves of the current socialist market economic construction and reform and openingup, people’s values, ways of thinking have changed a lot. It also determines thatcontemporary rural youth will be living in a different social environment from theirparents living in. In this new environment the choice of way of their lives and theircurrent living situation will have a significant effect on building our socialist newcountryside and socialist harmonious society. Therefore, research on the current ruralyouth’s survival status has a very strong practical significance.In order to have an in-depth and meticulous research on rural youth survivalsituation, researchers must limit the social survey in a certain social unit. This paperis mainly divided into four parts to study on the current Youth’s survival status in NorthVillage: the first chapter clearly defined this paper’s research objectand researchconcepts, analyzed the research purpose, significance and the domestic research statusand level and summarized the main research method; the second chapter divided theNorth Xu Village youth into two groups according to its main area of work anddiscussed the survival status in this paper, and made reason analysis aiming at the mainproblems; third chapter concluded and summarized the main problems in currentsurvival state of North Xu Village Youth; the fourth chapter really pondered andexported about how to optimize the current survival state North Xu Village Youth.The results conclude from such a small social unit may not be applicable to othersocial units. However, such a conclusion can be used as a hypothesis, or can be used ascomparison materials when do some social investigation in other places. This will helpto obtain real scientific conclusion in the research field of survival status of rural youth.
