Through the approaches of organon, induction and deduction, investigation and study etc, taking three counties in the Yichun City as examples, this thesis make the questionnaire and sample survey about the current situation of the "left-behind" children in rural areas, analyze and generalize the current situation of the "left-behind" children in rural areas and the existing problems, and study the causes and solutions. Firstly, through the questionnaire and sample survey, taking three counties in the Yichun City as examples, this paper studies the current the situation of the "left-behind" children in rural areas, and analyzes the essential cause of the existing problems about the "left-behind" children in rural areas in the aspects of governmental related institutions, rural migrant workers and the problems "farmers, rural areas and agriculture" respectively. Meanwhile, this thesis explains the direct cause for the problems of the "left-behind" children in rural areas at the four levels of family education deficiencies, school education problems, rural community problems and the lack of effective solution from government. At last, in the aspects of the basic solutions of the problems concerning "farmers, rural areas and agriculture", the fundamental measures for the problems of rural migrant workers, and the reform of the dual economy institution and the dual household registration system, this thesis points out the essential solutions about the problems of the "left-behind" children in rural areas; besides this thesis gives the staged strategies for the problems of the "left-behind" children in rural areas in the aspects of developing the leading role of family and school education, building and improving the education and monitoring systems for the "left-behind" children in rural areas.
