A Study Of Local Government Credibility Based On The Government Performance In Public Satisfaction Perspective

Government credibility is a trust that the public is satisfied with the government’swork and the performance of its duties on the authority of the Government. Governmentperformance of public satisfaction is public’s satisfaction and recognition of theperformance of government. Government credibility agrees with Public’s satisfaction ofthe Government Performance in the final objective, value-oriented,responsibility topursue and the way of realization and so on. Improving government performance ofpublic satisfaction can effectively support the construction of government credibility.Toimprove government performance today is an important way to improve its own image.Do research Government performance based on the view of government performance ofpublic satisfaction can not only provide help for the government to improve its ownperformance, but also provide an important basis for the construction of governmentcredibility.The study based on the analysis of extensive literature established the GovernmentPerformance Public satisfaction questionnaire with open-ended questionnaire, expertadvice, content analysis and taking example of the research achievement of domesticand foreign scholars; credibility of the government questionnaire learn from maturequestionnaire of domestic scholars. Select326people as a sample questionnaire surveyin Chongqing City by using simple random sampling method. Analyzing by using theSPSS17.0questionnaire data arrived at a final research conclusion.The main results are listed as follow:(1) The questionnaire of government performance of public satisfaction has goodreliability and validity;(2) Government Performance of public satisfaction sorts in accordance with thehigh to low order: economic development, education and scientific research, theresidents’ quality of life, social stability and administration;(3) In degree of trust and satisfaction of government, ranks from high to low inturn are self-improvement, justice and fair, honest and law abiding;(4)Government performance of public satisfaction and credibility of governmentperformance have a significant positive correlation;(5) Government performance of public satisfaction has some predictive power topredict the credibility; (6) Government Performance of Public satisfaction impacts on the credibility in acomplex way. The administration satisfaction affects the credibility indirectly witheconomic development, social stability, education and scientific research; economicdevelopment, social stability, education and scientific research, the residents’ quality oflife satisfaction are the intermediary variables to affect the credibility. They also directlyaffect the credibility.they both play a mediating effect and a regulating effect.In conclusion, this study used a variety of methods to investigate the relationshipbetween government performance of public satisfaction and government credibility indifferent perspectives. It analyzed the present condition of the government performance ofpublic satisfaction and government credibility of Chongqing city, made research for thereasons of the present condition and provide the way to deal with promotion.It makescontributions to the understanding of the present condition of Chongqing LocalGovernment Performance of Public satisfaction and the credibility of the ChongqingGovernment and has certain guiding value to improve the credibility of the governmentfrom the perspective of the improvement of Government Performance and governmentperformance of public satisfaction.
