Analysis On Social Stratification In Urban Area In Guilin

With the rapid development of China’s economy and society, social stratification and social relations has gradually become a hot topic of concern by the public opinion and showing the new features:a large number of people move to urban areas, prompting the city’s social structure has undergone new changes. Also triggered a series of social problems, such as:the gap between rich and poor, identity stratification,the population of the urban expansion, poor social mobility in urban areas and social stratification affects social stability. In recent years, the related researches are various,but not deep. Many scholars have a specific analysis of social stratification in China, but the focus of attention in China’s overall social stratification and urban social stratification. Social stratification is a big problems, many experts and scholars believes that currently the research on social stratification in china has the follwing problems:First, the statistics are unclear and difficult statistical, such as the income of invisible income;Second is a conceptual confusion, as we often say that "the working class", there is a lot of inaccurate, because this argument includes the cadres who have rights and ordinary workers, which proves only a single income can not be a minimum of social stratification;Third is method backwardness. China’s backward statistical methods and standards currently could not keep up with the very clear social stratification. Therefore,firstly empirical research from China’s social stratification based on economic and political status, analyzes the interests of all walks of life. At the same time, combined with the Theory of Social Stratification to be analyzed, the theoretical and empirical analysis to understand the problem of social stratification in China. First describes the research methods and survey methods, mainly taken in the study and choice of samples and basic conditions to give a description. Respectively, from the objective stratification and subjective stratification.
