Thingking On Rural Grass Root Democracy And Politics Construction

Reached an unprecedented development in the countryside of China. Nowadays,village committees are set up one after another in rural areas to implement autonomy forinhabitants of villages. Meanwhile, direct election system for village committee, villagerepresentatives’ conference system, open system of village affairs and democratic election,democratic decision-making, democratic management and democratic supervision arewildly implemented in rural areas, and the peasants’awareness of democratic politicsimproved significantly. System of Community Level Self-Governance is adhered to one offour policies for socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics in the SeventeenthNational Congress of CPC.This paper firstly gives a further understanding and analysis on rural grass-rootdemocratic and political construction in China from the standpoint of legal systemconstruction and organizational building, contents collection and forms for implementation.Secondly, by means of Shuangqiao town study, it intensively analyzes the grass-rootdemocratic and political construction of Shangqiao town after a long time fieldwork inrural areas and it puts emphasis on the village organization elections and village affairssupervision of this town in2011. Then, this paper gets a conclusion that rural grass-rootdemocratic and political construction in China at present stages has shortcomings such asimperfect relevant legal system, lack of politics consciousness, low ability of self-reliantmanagement for peasants. Finally, it provides measures for making a further developmentof village economy, promoting disposition for inhabitant of villages, perfecting legalsecurity system and straightening out the relationship of town and village, aiming to abetter development of rural grass-root democratic and political construction in China.
