In the context of advancing urbanization, more and more rural land is levied forthe construction of urbanization, the number of landless peasants continued to rise.the3704ten thousands mu agricultural land were occupied for economicconstruction from1997to2009.there were300ten thousands mu agricultural landoccupied at average annual.” With the acceleration of the process of China’surbanization and industrialization, rural collective land has been expropriated, thenumber of landless peasants rapidly expanding as a special group.It is predicted thatin2020the total number of landless peasants in China more than100million.”Association Central Committee in politics, Vice Minister Wen Lian Li told reporters.Farmers’ land rights protection is increasingly becoming a major social problems ofurbanization need to be properly resolved.In this paper, a small village in Gansu Province as the object of study, trying todeep analysis the reason of farmers’ land rights are damaged at backward areas in thewestern in the process of urbanization, and put forward some suggestions on thisbasis. The article is divided into four parts. The first part is the connotation ofpeasants’ land rights. The main account of some basic concepts,including the right oflife of farmers, farmers ’right to development, members of the farmers’ rights. Thesecond part is the status of Tian village in Gansu Province. In this part,I introductsome status of Tian village,including population, land,life and employment, andanalysis of three kind of conflict over land issues in Tian village.At last,I analysisthe status of the social security of the Tian village of landless peasants. The third partis the problems of Tian village farmers’ land rights protection and their causes. Thispart from the perspective of land ownership, land acquisition, and landless peasantsSocial Security Tian village farmers’ interests in land to protect a number ofproblems and their causes. The fourth part Reflections on the protection of farmers’land rights. In this section focus primarily on the protection of farmers’ land rights toimprove and perfect the legal system building.
