Utopian socialism, especially the three utopian socialism at the beginning of nineteenth Century, as the direct theoretical source of Marx’s idea of social harmony, depicts a beautiful picture of human society in the future, these ideas still have a lot of valuable we can learn from until today. Marx, as a great teacher of the human mind, puts the "social harmony" as the essential characteristics of his theory of scientific socialism, and gives the theory systematic explanation. In the one hand, he critically inherit former people’s ideas of social harmony. In the other hand, he uses the scientific world outlook and methodology, changes the idea of social harmony in people’s minds into a realistic and achievable goals. In order to further illustrate the relationship between the three utopian socialism and Marx’s thought of harmonious, This paper expounds the two kinds of idea respectively, and to do a comparative study, in order to explain Marx’s thought of social harmony on the guiding role of harmonious society construction of our socialism.
