Western research on adolescent development from the past focus on negative factors turnto positive, positive, especially the United States in this regard, the more significantachievements. Under the influence of positive psychology, the United States have a positiveperception of the new theory of the development of young people-positive youthdevelopment theory (PYD) to make up for the imbalance and unity of the traditional youthdevelopment for the youth development research to provide a new perspective.China’s development of young people from the whole, results and levels of foreign stillin the non-academic stage, there are questions such as: negative study ranking the mainstream,the positive study has yet to pay attention; the research orientation of the awareness ofcompliance issues lack of a theoretical breakthrough; more concentrated in the micro andmacro level, the lack of exploration of the meso level.Involved in youth and social identity and social construction involved in youthdevelopment and development theory as the research perspective, breaking the plight of thelack of meso level in the youth development theory, but also the kind of young peopleforward the development of theoretical research to explore innovation. This will not onlyexpand the breadth and depth of domestic youth development theory, will also contribute tothe organic unity and all-round progress of the individual and society, to promote thedevelopment of young people.This study mainly three parts:The first part of this paper defines the concept of theoretical foundation.
