A Probe Into The Development Of Contemptrary Terrorism

Contemporary terrorism has attracted more attention than any other stage in the history of terrorism, though it has only appeared on the world stage for a little over half a century. This article starts with an introduction of the concepts of terrorism, mainly deals with the major types of contemporary terrorism in different periods of time from World Warâ…¡till today. On the basis of analysis to the roots and background of contemporary terrorism and the current situation of international anti-terrorism, the article tries to find out the new trends of contemporary terrorism; they are: 1. new changes in its organization; 2. new changes in the composition of its people; 3. new changes in its targets and its attack methods; 4. new changes in its terror ideology and 5. new changes in its terror propaganda. By finding out these new trends, hopefully this thesis could be of some help in today's international anti-terrorism cooperation so that we could finally eradicate terrorism from the earth one day.
