The Study On Current Situation And Effect Of News Media Self-supervision In Our Country

With constant development of our society, great changes have takenplace in the field of news media forms, especially the rapid developmentof network media, which brought fundamental revolution to the forms ofcommunication of news media. Such development of news media provideopportunities for people to acquire news promptly via more channels, enjoymore rights and freedom; at the same time, such development causesadministration, guidance and effect, which are made by governmentalinstitutes and other relevant beneficiaries to media and information,more complicated and difficult; consequently, the governmentalinstitutes and other beneficiaries usually impose either tangible orintangible pressure on various new media by their own powers; such presswill force the news media to face self-examination, which is more andmore severe; the news freedom and rights enjoyed by people are seriouslyaffected by abuse of such self–examination.Nowadays, not only traditional newspapers and periodicals andtelevision news media, but also rising internet and cyber forums and othermedia are all have self-supervision. This kind of self-supervision isbecoming more and more self-suppressed and self-frightened and has atrend of expanding extent, which brings disturbance and reluctance anddoubt and all kinds of resentment mentality. So, it’s necessary to fullyand thoroughly understand the condition and reason and influence and otherrelative factors of our country’s news media self-supervision. This candecrease unhealthy effect to the whole society ‘s idea and democracyand rule of law and right protection and so on, which is caused by thegrievous and panic-stricken features of our country’s news mediaself-supervision. It can also help to find some theoretic probe to improveexisting problems of self-supervision at present.The part one of this paper first explain the basic concepts ad theoriesof news media self-supervision and introduce current situation of ourcountry’s news media self-supervision and relative criterions which itneeds to carry through.
