Therefore, in order to planning and construct rural communitiesbetter and more effectively, the Internet will play an important role in this process. Thepurpose of this study is researching the effect of Internet in the process of ruralcommunity construction and how to play a role.The two rural communities are selected as research objects, one is in the outskirtsand the other is in the outer suburb. The construction of rural community in Chengdu istypical significance, because this city is the urban and rural areas as a whole as thenational synthetically reform pilot district. In conclusion, the promotion and applicationof Internet in process of rural community construction in Chengdu have great researchvalue.This study investigates the Internet promotion and application of Pi county,Zhangqi village and DuJiangYan county, Shangyuan village of Chengdu city to discussthe situation of internet promotion and application in the process of balancing urban andrural development, using effect of Internet of rural community residents and theinfluence of Internet to rural community construction. The results shows that thedevelopment situation of Internet in the process of community construction of these twotypical rural communities are different: or main in Internet promotion, or hascommenced to apply Internet in the construction process; Communication basichardware facilities is pretty good in these two rural communities, but there is still improve space; The community residents who have Internet access and skills are almostbeen netizen, Internet penetration rate is good; However, the problems mainly fornetwork hardware facilities and price level remained to be improved, and the effect ofpromotion to elderly residents is terrible. In addition, there is short of media literacycultivation of long-term mechanism; The Internet application and service for ruralcommunity construction couldn’t meet demand of residents.After analyzing and summarizing the investigation results, I ponder from ruralcommunity residents’ point of view and find out solving the current problems requiregovernment and enterprises to perfect the Internet infrastructure construction, especiallypay attention to perfect the management and services of rural community public onlinesite; According to residents’ demand to structure Internet information content;Community cadres should guide rural community residents a correct understanding ofInternet and insist on spreading Internet knowledge and application skills; Set up theelectronic commerce and the electronic government affairs platforms to guideentertainment-oriented Internet use of rural community netizens transforming tovalue-oriented use; And combine with local features to explore the suited the Internetapplication mode.
