Philosophical Perspective On Ecological Civilization

Ecological civilization is the new form of contemporary mankindcivilization, and it is also the new form of sustainable development ofhuman economic society in the21’th century. Any kind of newcivilization and new theory contains its internal theoretical basis andlogical thinking. Therefor, this paper makes a theoretical ivestigation onthe ecological civilization through a new philosophical perspective. Andthe author analyses its central theme through the perspectives of ontology,epistemology, and axiology. It provides a strong theoretical support to theecological civilization and more theoretical guidance to the constructionof ecology civilization in our Country.First, the thesis inspects the ecological view of Marx and Engelsfrom ontology. It concludes the ontological enlightenment of ecologicalcivilization and points out that nature is the first priority in theconstruction of ecology civilization, it is the basic element that of primesignificance.Second, it inspects the ecological view of Marx and Engels fromepistemology, especially the beginning, process, and content of theirviewpoints about the perfect harmony between man and nature. Theestablishment and realization of the harmony between man and nature arealso mentioned. Meanwhile it focuses on the enrichment anddevelopment that made by the contemporary Chinese communist. Theynot only propose making ecological civilization into an independentpattern of civilization, but also enrich the basic thinking of construction. In the end, based on the ontological enlightenment of ecologicalcivilization, it recommends that we should discard the old traditionalconcepts, and take the latest ecological thinking into ecological practice,then enrich the development of ecological civilization constantly.Last, it inspects the ecological view of Marx and Engels fromaxiology. It summarizes the specific leap from industrial civilization toecological civilization, and emphasizes the values of the science must beused for steering the construction of our Country’s ecological civilization.It puts forward to foster harmonious development concept and promotethe coordinated development of man and nature. In the end, it points outthat we should establish the sustainable development view, forcefullydevelop circular economy, set up the sustainable consumption values, andpromot the harmonious development of China’s consumer business.
