On Inheriting Ethnic Culture In Socialist Cultural Construction With Chinese Characteirstics

Culture is the soul of a nation as well as the spirit of people. Nanzhao and Dali ethnic cultures created by Bai Nationality have exerted its great influence on the history of Yunnan, of China, and of the world. Bai Nationality’s culture is the core of Nanzhao and Dali ethnic cultures, also a major part of Yunnan ethnic culture and of Chinese ethnic culture. For the time being, these cultures exist widely in the folk in their fixed form, having effects on the social life of Dali local inhabitants in their special inheriting ways. The importance of cultural construction, especially the construction of minority cultures and their scientifically inheriting ways has been marked on the end of15th Standing Committee of Chinese Communist Party and the successful convening of sixth plenary session of the17th Communist Party of China Central Committee. The construction of Yunnan ethnic culture has been put in an important place with the design and conduct of the strategic plan to develop it, and on the proposal of the State Council that Yunnan be built into a bridgehead open to the southwest of China. Hence, it’s practically meaningful to make some researches on the inheritance of Dali Bai Nationality’s culture.Starting from the basic condition of Bai Nationality of Dali as descendants of a people, this paper first analyzes the relations among Bai Nationality’s culture of Dali, Yunnan culture, and Chinese culture. Then, with the guidance of socialist core value system, it focuses on the present condition of the culture’s passing down as well as the problems and reasons on the basis of the history of Dali ethnic culture. Aiming at the existing problems and causal analysis, strategies and protective system of scientific inheritance of Nanzhao and Dali ethnic cultures have been proposed by building world fame of Dali ethnic culture, improving ways of protective and advertising programs, and decreasing the negative influential factors. Meanwhile, developmental principles are also put forward to secure the scientific inheritance of Bai Nationality’s culture so that its aim and maneuverability can be highlighted.
