Russia's Central Asia Game And Its Effect On China's Research

Central Asia is located in the heart of the Eurasia, with prominent geopolitical value. After the cold war ended, with central Asia became an independent region and the unique energy value of central Asia is being gradually explored, the position of central Asia in the international strategic structure is of more importance. Both the U.S. and the Russia have great strategic interests in central Asia. In order to achieve their interests in central Asia, there is a fierce competition between the U.S. and the Russia. The game strategies between the Russia and the U.S. in central Asia would have a nonnegligible effect upon the China’s interests in central Asia.Firstly, this paper defines the interests of the Russia and the U.S. in central Asia. Secondly, within the framework of game theory, analysing the game of the Russia and the U.S. in the geopolitical field, the security field and the economic and energy field in central Asia, solving the Nash equilibrium of this two sides game, and predicting the game trend connected with the reality. Finally, on this basis, summarizing the influence on China that the game between Russia and the U.S. in different fields proceeded in central Asia, analysing the China’s countermeasures.
