Status And Demand Of The Home Care Community Service In Tianjin

This paper is witten to analyse the status demand of the home care community service in Tianjin, which uses quantitative analysis methods, basis on the602copies of Tianjin elderly household living conditions survey of the six districts of Tianjin in2009. First, the status of home care and satisfaction in Tianjin are described and summarized. Then, it is recognized that the four factor which are pension, education level, age group, and self-care ability had significant impact on needs of older persons in the logistic regression of the data. Based on this conclusion, pensions and education level are classified as social class factors; age groups and self-care ability is classified as activity factors, and construct and test the theoretical model of the demand type on the older age groups, the elderly is divided into six types. Finally, interactive analysis the six types of older age groups with the Tianjin community20Help Age services and summarized the needs of different groups of six elderly. The main findings are:First health&rich elderly are the most urgent demand for home care services, followed by:" Social Welfare of Elderly People "," healthy&plearsure elderly "," health&poor elderly, weak&rich elderly and weak&plearsure elderly.The other finding is that there is huge diversity needs between different groups of the elder people.The healthy&poor elderly need communication; The healthy&rich elderly need to learn new knowledge and exercise regimen, and health&pleasure elderly is similar as the healthy&rich, but also concerned about the legal advice. The finding break through the brief summary of which current type of theoretical research of the needs of older persons to stay in the broad hierarchy of needs as well as the elderly needs are diverse. Two policy proposals are proposed based on the finding:first, give the different help according to six type groups of elder people that the paper disscussed; Second, to promote the "two type go" mode, which is "come in" and "go out" service according to the differences of activity, six the class of older age groups. The research give the new ideas and attempt to implement the home care services.
