Study On The Current Relationship Between NGO And The Government Of China

Our country has been the “big government and small society” in the history.The government has been the subject of the management of social affairs,monopolizing the supply of public goods and service. Since the reform and openingup, with the development of the market economy and the transformation ofgovernment functions, Non-governmental organizations make vigorous developmentin our country and become the new subject in the supply of public goods because ofthe unique advantages, undertaking the functions from the government and playing apositive role in medical education、poverty alleviation、environmental protectionand other fields. In recent years, all kinds of natural disasters and mass incidentshighlight the role of Non-governmental organizations. With the social transformationand government reform, our government has a new understanding toNon-governmental organizations and encourages the development of NGOs throughvarious policies and measures, so the relationship of NGOs and government causesthe scholars and the practitioners’concern. In recent years, the relationship betweenChina’s Non-governmental organizations and government get significantimprovement, presenting new characteristics, but there are still many problems tobe solved. The construction of this relationship is still in the exploration stage. So,studying the relationship between the government and non government organizationsis very important to the healthy development of non-governmental organizations andthe transformation of government functions, which is also the inevitable choice to theconstruction of a harmonious society and the innovation of social management.The paper is based on the relationship between government and NGOs,brieflyintroduces the related concept about the government and non governmentorganizations. The paper focuses on the analysis of the present situation andreasons of the relationship between NGOs and our government. On the basis of theanalysis, the paper puts forward the strategies and suggestions about how to solve theproblem.
