Research On The Fengtien College Of Law And Politics During Late Qing And The Early Day Of The Republic Of China (1906-1916)

In early twentieth Century, The imperial examinations system which was sustainedone thousand years in China was abolished, the whole nation lifted the tide of foundingthe new school. As the Qing Dynasty declared constitutional preparation, the law andpolitics schools which is an important part of new school in the country rose abruptlyand.developt rapidly. In this historical background, the founding the Fengtien law andpolitics school did not only comply with the objective need of Chinese education in thebeginning of twentieth century, which is more important is that it spreaded modernwestern thought of politics and law, cultivated a large number of talents who hadmodern legal professional knowledge. And it promoted social change in Northeast China,had profound influence in rising legal education in modern Northeast China andmodernization.This paper mainly divided into five parts: the first part, introduces the backgroundof the establishment of Fengtien law and politics school. The second part, discusses thesituation of estabishment of Fengtien law and politics school in different periods, andbriefly summarized location evolution after the school was closed. The third part,analysis the basic situation of teaching management of the Fengtien law and politicsschool. Discussing separately from the school running tenet and management system,financing, discipline system and the curriculum, student management, teachermanagement and other aspects. The fourth part, discusses the Fengtien law and politicsschool on legal effect of Northeast China in modern times. Separately from the lawbooks Fengtien law and politics school teachers and students of and Fengtien law andpolitics school personnel training two parts. The last part, summed up the Fengtien lawand politics school in modern Northeast China social influence and role, and summarizessimply the school ’s limitations.
