The Youth Consumption Values And Education Research

Consumption has been associated with human development, and it has been the problem to solve in the process of human’s development. All human activities, including the consumption, are under the guidance of values. Consuming values, as the specific expression of values, is the basic view of the value of consumption. With the development of society, people’s consuming values is influenced by the different of thought and cultural, as the same time, all kinds of problems are appeared, such as: consumption structure lost balance, concept of financial management was weak, environment has been damaged and so on, all above problems are closely related with consuming values.The paper takes the consuming values of the contemporary youth groups (college students and young peasant workers)as the research object, comprehensive use of various research methods, studies on the consuming values of the contemporary youth groups, takes the present consumption situation of this group as the breakthrough point, analysis the consuming problems in this group, elaborates the necessity and significance to establish the correct consuming values, and it also tells the value goal setting and path selection to establish the correct consuming values.This paper consists of five parts. The first part includes the current research of consuming and the research method and meaning of this paper. In the second part, it firstly gives the specific meaning of consumption and the consuming values, then it enumerates different kinds of consuming values in different countries:Chinese traditional consuming value, consumerism values, Marxism consumption viewpoint. The third part and the fourth part describe the consumption status of the two groups, and analysis their consuming behavior, in order to tell their rationality and irrationality in the process. The fifth part tried to give the meaning of correct consuming values:harmonious, measurable, scientific consuming values. As the same time, it also lists the significance of building correct consuming values, including the meaning of comprehensive development of individuals, and the significance of social progress. Finally, according their problems, it sets up the goals of correct consuming values, and attempts to give the path of correct consuming values.
