| We live in an age which is surrounded with Film&tv culture. The youth of nowadays are grown up with the company of film&tv. Film&tv culture deeply gets involved in their socialization and maturation, becomes closely related to them by integretation and mutual interference. The youth of today, who are refered to as brought up by screen, have obtained most of their ideas of value directly from Film&tv culture which surrounds them. They can absorbing a lot of positive effects from the Film &tv culture, meanwhile, they are affected and misled recklessly in regard of value conception by the negtive effects of the culture. In one sense, the Film&tv culture is carrying on a kind of value education towards today's youth outside of campus. This kind of value education even surpassed that of school due to the advantage in broadcasting. Those emerging violence, forcible commercials, absurd history plays, fictitious plays on urban life and idols, rampant recreational programmes of the Film&tv culture are producing large amounts of negative effects, leading to teenager's total alienation on values such as their outlook, view on life and moral , aesthetic and historical judgement. This phenomenon is long for the due attention and study from educators and those concern with the teenagers.This thesis consists of four parts:The first part: the statusquo: Film&tv culture's integretation with the youth. First of all, the paper discusses the culture's rich meaning on three aspcts, which are the popular broadcasting orientation, human broadcasting form and contents. It is the rich meaning that can permeate among the youth in an affectionately way. Then, through the data of survey on the culture's involvement in the youth's life, the paper further expounded the influence of the involvement upon their values .The second part: concern and anxiety: This part of the paper analysed the culture'snegative influences on the yoluth's values from five aspects of the cultural phenomena that most closely related with their life. They are violence on screen: misleading on life in regard of meaning and value; forcible commercials: bondage of free spirit; absurd history plays: embarrasment behind lively scenes; recreational programmes: reckless entertainment forsaking esthetic tastes. Hopefully, the analysis on the negative influences can arouse people's concern and anxiety about the issue.The third part: interpretation: This part analyses the attribution of the culture's negative influence upon the youth's values . The occurance of many worrying negative influences directly relates the alienation in the development of Film&tv culture. We shall draw attention back to the value education on campus when we are considering the issue seriously. This part discusses the issue in two points: one is self reflection, the alienation of Film&tv culture; the other is the focus on campus, on which the value education is being carried out inefficiently.The fourth part, solutions: This part explains the countermeasures of the youth's values education under the influence of Film&tv culture. The exploration and consideration of this part is aiming at school, family, government and media, which are the key points of discussion.The youth of today will be the most important part in the future society. The influence of Film&tv culture towards them is a practical fact in this opening age. It has been putting a challenge to the values education towards the youth. We should concern the Film&tv culture and the values of the youth. We believe that the youth will absorb more and more nutrition to form their wonderful values world and the home of spirit.
