Based on the above reasons, the medical service for the aged in Zhejiang are in great demand and the problems of the rural medical security systems for the aged are very serious. These bring out a great challenge for the current systems of rural medical security for the aged. Zhejiang is a relatively developed province. One of the important tasks on the economic development in Zhejiang is that we should confront the tendency of the aging population actively and solve the problems of the systems of medical security for the aged better. It is of great importance to eliminate poverty of the old people in rural areas, improve the level of their health, narrow the gap of the medical security for the aged between urban and rural areas, realize social fairness and justice, and to construct a harmonious society.The author studies on the present condition and the proposals of the rural medical security system for the aged in Zhejiang by the literature research method, the survey analysis, comparative analysis, the induction method, system analysis and other methods. In the paper, the author gives the definition of the aged in rural areas and tries to explore the theory of medical security for the aged in order to establish a solid foundation for the medical security for the aged in Zhejiang, and then the author analyzes the current situation, problems and the reasons of rural medical security system for the aged in Zhejiang. Its aim is to find out a crucial reason. Moreover, the author introduces the successful experience of the rural medical security for the aged at abroad to provide reference for the medical security for the aged in Zhejiang. At last, the author puts forward the proposals on resolving the problems of the rural medical security system for the aged in Zhejiang.The result of the research indicates that the rural medical security system for the aged in Zhejiang has been established on the whole. But there are some problems to be solved urgently, such as the lower ability to pay for the medical security, the insufficient supply and use for the medical services. To solve these problems, we should establish the rural medical security system for the aged, improve the level of fundraising for the rural medical security system for the aged, allocate the rural medical resources reasonably, make the government play an important role in the rural medical security system for the aged effectively and strengthen the health education of the old people in the rural area.
