The public security deparment is an important part of political authority, which defended the ruling status of CCP, maintain social stability, safeguard the people’s live and work in peace and contentment sacred mission. Nowday our country is in a high sped developing period in economic and social with lots of contradictions, the public security department has many harmony and stability task. The police officers work under major pressure at the same time.Because of some subjective and objective factors, they are easy to get job burnout problem, lack of psychological symptoms,lower working enthusiasm, getting communication difficulties in work and life, which seriously affects the work efficiency and team image. This auther tried to issue job burnout questionnaire with500policemen from four public security organs in Beijing, Henan, Jiangxi,then analysied the data, obtained the result that the policemen have serious job burnout.Quoting some typical cases in recent years, this paper analyzes the work particularity, the external law enforcement environment, police using methods and personnel system to produce negative effects of job burnout, and reference to the experience from the police department of United States, Hong Kong to prevent and eliminate job burnout.In view of the actual situation in our country, set there points such as responsibilities clearly, preferential treatment, and remolding the professional sense of honor and improving the mental health security system etc.
