Working on the frontline of execution of punishment,prison guards are suffering from danger,pressure and irritability.According to the former researches,the mental activities of prison guards are variously influenced by the society.The level of loss of passion,job accomplishment and job burnout of prison guards is high.Nowadays the researches on prison guards' job burnout is lacking both in China and abroad,which in empirical research,investigation weighs higher than strategy,while in mitigation strategy,focus more on external influences than on internal aspects.On base of several years' working experience as a prison guard and the professional skills of psychological consultant and combing the prison guards' professional characteristic of social,cumulative,unbalanced,exhausting and inefficient,the writer compares the data collected from 600 prison guards from different positions and classes of Tianjin prisons to the normative reliability,validity and norm in psychology through psychological survey tools to estimate the job burnout of prison guards and analyses the sources of prison guards' job burnout.This research for the first time clarifies the progress and the types of mental pressure of prison guards on individual aspect,and emphasizes on the knowledge and guidance of the source of prison guards' job burnout,proposes the mitigation strategy of psychological selection system,drop out system and prison culture construction.
