In the rapid transition process of our country’s social and economic structure, governmentis faced by a shrinking sharp contradictions between the increasing demand of public service andthe decreasing capacity of public services supply. In this background, social organizationsparticipate in the supply of public service with its unique characteristics andadvantages,undertaking a lot of public functions’ transferor by government reform,making up thedefects of government, and meeting the diversified and elaborate demand of the public.However,because of the imperfection of external environment and faultiness of its own,socialorganizations faced many problems in the participation of public service supply. Based on theactual situation in China, the domestic and abroad relevant field were analyzed in this paper,thenthe countermeasures were put forward.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part, the background and significance of thesubject,the research summary of domestic and abroad relevant field,research methods andinnovative points were elaborated.The second part,the concept, classification and characteristicsof social organizations and public service were introduced respectively.Then the theoretical basis,advantages and feasibility analysis were expounded in the participation of public servicesupply.The third part, the situation and achievements were discussed in the participation ofpublic service supply. Then the difficulties, the internal and external causes were analyzed. Thefourth part, the countermeasures and suggestions were put forward to promote the socialorganizations to participate in the public service supply effectively. The fifth part is the summary.
