The party system is an important part of the political system in a modern democratic country. The operation of a modern political system can not be separated from the political party system. Research about the party system can help us have a deeper understanding about the mode of a country’s political operation. Due to the huge difference among the historical and cultural traditions, the structure of power, constitutional structure, social structure and so on, the national political party system showed different morphology and development trend.Party politics in the modern sense emerged after the Second World War in Japan. Overall, Japan’s postwar party system has experienced two stages of development:From the recovery of the Japanese party politics in the early post-war (1945) to1993is the period of the formation and development of the party system of1955; From1993to now is the disintegration period of the party system in Japan. After Democratic Party replaced the Liberal Democratic Party to became the ruling party. whether Japan has been the conservative bipartisan competitive party system, What is the trend of the development of the party system in Japan? Analyzing the transformation of the party system in Japan after World War Ⅱ and its development trend from historical tradition and reality condition of the bi-directional dimension. The specific argument and analysis is divided into two parts: The first part focuses on the historical, systematic analysis the main motivating factors of the impact and the disintegration of the party system of1955; The second part determine the current Japanese politics is dominated by conservative parties; The innovative political parties was fading trend; The Nakamichi political parties become the weigh that conservative parties compete with each other by the analysis of the pattern of the current Japanese political party. On this basis, the possibility of transformation of the party system in Japan, as well as analysis of the major environmental factors affecting the transformation of the party system in Japan, the development trend of transformation of the party system in Japan is most likely to come to the two-party system or a moderate multi-party system. The analysis can deepen our understanding of the entire Japanese political party system in Japan and its trends, which will help us better understand the political dynamics in Japan.
