In recent years, with ocean oil pollution emergencies occur repeatedly, the caseof ocean oil pollution is paid more and more attention. An ocean oil pollutionemergency not only causes personal injury, property damage, but also destroys themarine environment. As the main masters of petroleum enterprises, transnationalcorporations bear the unshirkable responsibility. Therefore, as the major oceanpollution cases happened recently in China, ConocoPhillips oil spill causes thinkingand discussing of ocean oil pollution responsibility assigning of transnationalcorporation of our country.Adopted the method of case analysis, the method of comparative analysis, themethod of summarizing, this article takes the case of ConocoPhillips oil spill toresearch the mechanism of ocean oil pollution responsibility assigning oftransnational corporation. This paper discusses the mechanism of ocean oil pollutionresponsibility assigning of transnational corporation of international conventions andother relevant countries laws, contrasts the corporation of BP oil spill incident process,sums up the advantages of ocean oil pollution responsibility assigning of transnationalcorporation investigated in the United States and the shortage of China, forward somesuggestions to the solutions to the case of ConocoPhillips oil spill and how to improveocean oil pollution responsibility assigning of Transnational Corporation of ourcountry finally.
