Research On City’residents To Participate In Community Governance

At present, the researches about how to enhance the level of urban community governance and effectively promote the citizen participation in community governance are more and more. It has became a hot topic of public administration theory in China. Globally, community governance has taken place in many countries in the world, and the tide of international community development also have influenced the community construction and development in our country.As is known to all, with the transition of economic system in China, the community governance have been undertaking great changes. Therefore, the research on how to effectively promote the citizen participation in urban community governance is of great importance. The relationship between the national democratic level and the country’s community governance cannot be ignored, because the community governance can play a great role in maintaining basic stability and provide the opportunity for people to participate in social public affairs. But nowadays the city community governance practices are not yet mature, there are many problems and obstacles in the process of participation.To solve the above problems, this article analyses the reason of the restriction of citizen participation in community governance, and put forward the solutions:firstly, the level of residents participation need to be improved and the residents’ awareness of participation need to be enhanced; Secondly, we have to perfect the community management system; Thirdly, safeguard mechanism of residents participation should be proposed; Fourthly, we should encourage the residents to participate in community governance.
