With the thriving development of occupation education, occupational school teachersundertake extremely high pressures from various sources. Therefore, whether the teacherscould handle stresses, take flexible cognition and react appropriately to emergencies, directlyimpact teachers’ physical and mental health, and further affect students’ physical and mentalhealth and the quality of education as well.A total of127middle occupational school teachers were included in this study, through aquestionnaire, with the purpose of:(1) Understanding the current psychological health statusof the middle occupational school teachers, providing information to school.(2) Exploring therelationship among cognitive flexibility, stress handling styles and mental health, in order toprovide theoretical and practical support to improve the level of teachers’ mental health.(3)Proposing a number of targeted strategies to reduce the teachers’ pressure and increaseoccupational school teachers’ psychological health level.The results show that:(1) the school teachers’ psychological health level is lower thanthe national normal level, indicating teachers mental health issues are worthy of attention.(2)The active coping style and SCL-90have significant negative correlation, mentally healthypeople are more adept at active coping style.(3) There exist significant positive correlationbetween positive coping style and cognitive flexibility, and significant negative correlationbetween passive coping style and cognitive flexibility, indicating teachers with high cognitiveflexibility tend to react actively, not passively.(4) Teachers with high cognitive flexibilitygenerally have high level of psychological health.As such, in order to alleviate teachers’ pressure and improve their mental health, theresearcher makes the following recommendations to the education administration:(1) To paymore attention to psychological health status of middle occupational school teachers;(2) Toenforce the education and regulations of students’ problematic behavior;(3) To takecomprehensive approaches in improving teachers’ psychological health and self-adjustmentability, fostering teachers’ flexible and active response, enhancing their mental health level.
