With the development of modern education technology, the capabilities on informationtechnology gradually become teachers’ necessary professional quality. To improve the ITapplication ability of teachers, the State has formulated relevant policies on primary andsecondary school teachers’ information technology training. To implement the relevantnational policies, Hebei Province has put much labor power and material resources on suchaspect. Based on discussing the importance of carrying out the information technologytraining of primary and secondary school teachers, I conducted a further research upon theeffect of primary and secondary school teachers’ information technology training.This dissertation mainly apply the ways of bibliography, questionnaire, interview and putforward the concept of training benefit maximization.In this dissertation, based on acomprehensive analysis on the information technology training of the primary and middleschools in Hebei Province, I chose the Xingtai County as the testee to deeply investigate theefficiency of the information technology training of primary and secondary school teachers.The results showed that the relevant education administration and schools put much laborpower and material resources on such aspect, meanwhile arranging specific training activities.The training for teachers broadened the teachers’ field of view, and also made some teachersmaster operating approaches open specific teaching design and education technology.However, the whole effectiveness of training was not apparent, and the expected goals hadn’tbeen achieved.The inefficiency of primary and middle school teachers’ information technology trainingin China derive from both the problem in macroscopic systematic design and imperfection ofmicroscopic training method. In particular, from the view of concept, Chinese current middleand primary schools’ information technology training disagrees with the needs and learningcharacteristics of adult teachers; from the view of whole mechanism and system, thecoordination and cooperation between the relevant authorities conducting training is notenough; from the view of specific training method, there’s problems in the pattern, time place,and even assessment method of training.To improve the primary and middle school teachers’ information technology training,firstly we should have the consciousness of efficiency, taking efficiency as the purpose; secondly, we should further improve the existing training system in terms of organizers oftraining and primary and secondary schools.
