Since the Fifth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of CPC, the Central Committee and the State Department attached great importance to the vocational education. At present, the government advocates the development of vocational education, based on the specialized development, the construction of the "Double Type" teachers and the transformation of the educational theories and practices about the new curriculum reform. Teachers in the higher vocational colleges need to treat their carrier seriously, especially the young teachers. Higher vocational education is a type of the development of China’s current higher education, with a "higher" and "professional" double property, and its "vocational education" is essential. The double property determines the dual vocational education that teachers have standards and requirements, different from the ordinary universities and secondary vocational technical schools. According to preliminary statistics, China has 200 thousand vocational college teachers, expanding the total number each year. A huge number of vocational college teachers shoulder the responsibility of China’s modernization of training senior applied mission. Meanwhile, they have to face the problem of their own career development as a group in China’s overall human resources. Besides, career planning helps to comprehensively improve the overall quality, leading them to be successful, seeking for new heights. In addition, the current national vocational college is in a stage of rapid development, facing fierce competition in the development phase and prominent contradictions. How to enhance the competitiveness, found the provincial level, the national model higher institute has also been considered by the management of higher vocational colleges. The national long-term education reform and development program in 2010 says that by 2020 China will adapt to change in the mode of economic development and industrial structural adjustment requirements, and reflect the concept of lifelong education, find the modern vocational education system, in harmony with secondary and higher vocational education, meeting the people’s needs for high quality and economic and social skilled workers. Teachers are the frontline workers in education, the higher objectives of vocational education development have put forward new specialty ability and demands. Vocational School Teachers’ career planning can help teachers understand the development of young teachers, strengthen career planning management, help realize their objectives, explore a new direction of teachers’management, and enhance vocational college in the community competition. So, concerning the professional development, it will provide a platform for career development and adapt to the new period of higher vocational education development.
