Full-time master postgraduates of professional degree are going to be an important part of the whole graduate education, their being of all aspects means too much to the professional degree education quality and to the successful reformation of postgraduate education. Because of the negative social effects of on-the-job postgraduates and the unperfection of full-time professional postgraduates training model, the social identity level of full-time professional postgraduates is not high. In such a context, as "full-time professional postgraduate" role players, what about their role identity? It is the reason that why the author carries on this research.The whole research aimed to explore the full-time professional postgraduates’role identity in psychological social perspective. Based on the documentary analysis."full-time professional postgraduates’role identity" is defined as a psychological social process that postgraduates percept and emotionally experience and behave in accordance with this role requirements. Higher role identity level will bring higher study motivation level. Then it will contribute to the realization of full-time professional master postgraduate education’s train objective. So there is necessity to pay attention to the cultivating of full-time professional postgraduate in a role identity perspective for the sake of reality.The article constitutes these following thoughts:the present investigation, analysis and the solution to the existing problems. First, take Chongqing city as the case, investigate and study postgraduates’role identity from role percept, role emotion and role behavior these three aspects. On the analysis of questionnaires, the author tries to find out the current condition of full-time professional master postgraduates’role identity. Second, conclude the existing problems of full-time professional postgraduates’ role identity.Third, analyse attributions in postgraduates, full-time professional degree education, postgraduate education and culture value these four ways. At last, according to the role identity theory, propose solutions from following three aspects:full-time professional degree master postgraduate themselves, universities and the government.In short, the author discusses the full-time professional degree master postgraduates cultivating in role identity perspective, with the aid of questionnaire analysis, and the author puts forward strategies about improving the level of role identity of full-time professional degree master postgraduates.
