Vocational education is a major component of the educational development of each country. In recent years, vocational education has become the focus of China’s education development, the state has to invest a lot of manpower and financial resources in vocational education every year. However, the development of vocational education still have some unsatisfactory, such as:one of the problems is secondary vocational school graduates have not more opportunity to continue their learning. How can we better promote the improvement the entire vocational education system, and development of secondary vocational education connecting with higher vocational education, learn from experience of the educational advanced countries may be able provide a useful help on this issue for our country.Nowaday,the United States on economy and education is most developed countries in the world. The reform and development of education course has become the rest of the world education development paradigm. Vocational education in the United States from the early18th century now, and today the United States, vocational education, especially in the implementation of comprehensive high school vocational education programs in vocational education, make common vision with the reality of the version. General of vocational education also make it an integrated high school graduates enter colleges and universities that who could choose to learn, but also into a strong professional learning community college, more by virtue of the comprehensive high school vocational courses in the learning into the workplace.This study focuses on how to more effectively widening access to higher vocational learning opportunities for students to research, the use of comparative research, literature, case analysis and other methods were analyzed from four United States on this issue useful experience.The first part of the research topics of this reason, the existing relevant literature review and an explanation of the meaning of core concepts related to the definition.The second part of the convergence of higher vocational education in the United States, the ideological basis for Origin, analysis of higher vocational education in the United States in the idea of convergence, based on convergence of higher vocational education in the United States, the historical development and current situation to make a comb.Third is to analyze the convergence of higher vocational education in the United States, the practice of content. Including the purpose of higher vocational education in the United States changes, curriculum development, vocational education institutions to recruit way, higher vocational schools provide student aid to students in schools of higher vocational education tuition, teacher qualification and the higher occupational convergence of legal protection.The fourth is a summary of the United States in the convergence of the characteristics of higher vocational education combined with practical, give the reform-related issues for China’s development proposals...
