Comparative Research On The Industry-University Linkage Of Ameirca,Japan And China

Industry-university linkages increasingly become the focus of higher education.This essay mainly discusses industry-university linkages in America, Japan and China.First of all, it introduces historical development of industry-university linkages inAmerica, then summarizes its cooperative models and characteristics. The patterns arethe same in the following discuses. By comparison, this paper attempts to discuss andanalyses of industry-university linkage home and abroad, then summarizes thecharacteristics and defects in our country, and puts forward some suggestions.Although certain achievements have been made in China, problems still exist.Compared with the American and Japanese universities, Chinese government has notinvolved enough. At the same time, universities and scientific research personnelcannot meet the demand of enterprise’s technical innovation needs, which makesuniversity become "ivory tower". According to the successful experience of Americaand Japan, this paper puts forward some Suggestions. First of all, strengthen thegovernment’s macro-control role, especially establish preferential policies andlegislation, which could improve the efficiency of cooperation between the universityand the enterprise; Secondly, pay more attention to intermediary organizations, theseorganizations are great platforms, which make universities and enterprisescommunicate more smoothly.
