Students and teachers are the energetic source of school’s developing, andinstruction is the fundamental form to connect them, which is also the lifeline ofschool’s development. How to improve instruction should be given primaryimportance. It is necessary to solve this problem on the way of developing.Although we all realize the importance of instruction, most of colleges anduniversities think highly of the research, and neglect the instruction, which makesresearch and instruction out of balance. To figure out this situation, make progress ineducation and provide reserve strength, we need to find way of it.America is famous for education, and the Ivy League is the first-rate colleges anduniversities. They not only value the research, but also the instruction; not only haveexcellent teacher, but also high efficiency management. By setting up the center ofteaching and learning, they make control school’s working, and ensure the quality ofinstruction. At present, there are no such kind of center in our country’s colleges anduniversities. They face up a lot of challenges on the instruction, for example theydon’t know where to improve their problems and consult, so it is very necessary to doresearch on the center of teaching and learning of the Ivy League, which is good forour colleges and universities instructional development. This paper mainly containsfour parts, at first, make a summary of8centers’ states, like history and mission. Atsecond, it gives to detail description of the centers, such as structure, objectiveservices and how to work. Then, the third part and four part are to make comment onthe feature of the centers’ working, and sum up the effects. At last, we gainenlightenments from the research, which is useful to make progress in ourinstructional management. Such as, we should attach importance to instruction, set upscientific evaluating indicators’ system for instruction and professional center tocontrol instructional management.It is long way to improve instructional management. We need to strive for this.Only can instructional development improve the present situation, which will improvethe ability of research and provide sustainable development of education.
