Thinking is the core of intelligence. Thinking is the reflection of human brain to the essence and law of objects, which is general, indirect, purpose and active, and realized by means of language on the basis of original knowledge. Thinking ability is a kind of ability required when the subject finish the thinking task and will affect the thinking efficiency directly. It is comprehensive and rich in content. According to the law of intellectual development of children and adolescents, during high school, students’ thinking is even more theoretical, dialectical and creative. Their thinking transfer from experienced abstract thinking to a theoretical abstract thinking, and is able to use the theory of abstract logical thinking. Their thinking began to form dialectical thinking, in the process of movement, development, and change, comprehensive, flexible, contact, specifically to understanding of things, in the unity of opposites to grasp things. Their thinking from creative recycling thinking and reproducibility of image thinking to a higher level development of thinking in images. They can pass through the creative imagination to create a new image, can give a different point of view, and new insights.Composition teaching is good for the development of students’ thinking ability. Essentially, composition is the product of the thinking activity. Students’ compositions, in fact, is high-level thinking activities which reflect the objects and express thoughts and feelings of means of language. Thinking is the composition of the parent. where there is no thinking, there is no composition. Composition is an intellectual activity and more, a thinking activity. It enables a variety of intellectual factors in the integrated use of the harmonious and comprehensive development, that is, intellectual factors, the most important thinking ability, can be improved in composition writing training. The composition is among the unity the language, thinking and humanity. It is a good carrier and channel to cultivate the students’ thinking ability. However, many problems existing in current high school students’ composition:narrative and straight, with same theme, one-sided point of view, the level scattered, poor language, etc. This is mainly because of the students’ weak thinking ability. The current situation of high school composition teaching shows that Composition teaching of high school students’ thinking ability cultivation is clearly insufficient. The teachers have not paid enough attention to students’ thinking ability, lack of scientific and systematically training of thinking abilities.In the high school composition teaching process, teachers can set four modules:close of nature, observation of the society; into the literature, flying imagination; good speculative, institute of dialectical and open-minded, towards innovation to train the students’thinking ability. Through the thematic training, teachers can systematically cultivate high school students’ability of observation, imagination, dialectical analysis and reasoning and creativity. Through four modules of thematic training, to cultivate high school students’ability of observation, formed close to nature and life, accumulation of material experience to effectively reflect the ability the natural and life. To develop students’ imagination and ability of creating new images, in the imaginary world of literature, make creative image thinking on the basis of literary works. To cultivate students’dialectical analysis and reasoning ability, the ability to institute dialectical analysis of the material in the debate process, and develop dialectical reasoning. To foster students’ creativity, and to think with the materials point of view, and to establish the ability to put forward new ideas, new insights.
