Self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning developed actively, and with the continuous advance of new curriculum reform in Guangxi senior high school, the self-monitoring ability of student’s study attracted more and more people’s attention, self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning is the fundamental guarantee to improve grades and efficiency among high school students, which is also a necessary condition to learn Mathematics well. With the background of on-going high school new curriculum reform in Guangxi, there is an urgent need for high school students not only to master the knowledge itself, bur also to grasp self-monitoring ability in order to achieve the purpose of the independent study with the guide of the teachers. Zhuang minority mainly gather in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Due to political, economic and cultural differences among different nationalities, their intellectual development owes its own national characteristic.Therefore, there is a very important theoretical and practical significance in the research of self-monitoring ability of high school students.This paper makes a comprehensive and empirical study research on students’ self-monitoring ability in mathematics study in Fangcheng gang city senior middle school, which includes students from Han, zhuang and Jing minority. The research based on the general information of the self-monitoring ability theory, such as the definition, structure, function and influence factors. According to the results of survey sampling and the record of interviews,and then applying the methods of statistics analysis, writer carefully analyze the differences in self-monitoring ability in learning mathematics under the factors, Such as grade, gender, different groups of different nationalities. We obtained the following conclusions: First, the self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning of the students from han, zhuang and Jin minority of the same grade is different from one another, in all the different nationalities, the self-monitoring ability in mathematics study of the students from the han nationality is the best.the zhuang take second place,and the Jin is last.The second,there is significant difference on the self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning of the senior high school students from han, zhuang and Jin minority of the different grades, the self-monitoring ability in mathematics study of the high school sophomores is the best. Senior1take second place,and senior3is last.The third, the linear positive correlation between the mathematics grade of the senior high school students from han, zhuang and Jin minority and the self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning is significant. Higher mathematics achievement means better self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning.According to these conclusions above and combine theory of teaching with practical experience, the paper presented recommendations to improve the student’self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning, and aimed at improving senior high school’s mathematics teaching in ethnic areas:First,we have to create a harmonious and comfortable study environment for the different nationality’s students to make the different nationality’s students learn from one another and communicate with one another in the more human, more comfortable environment so that the students from jin nationaly can improve their self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning and learn a lot by continuous communicating and collaborating with students from the other nationalities.The second, with respect to teachers, it is very necessary for them to pay more attention to promote self-subject literacy and comprehensive quality totally.so as to train the self-monitoring ability in mathematics learning of students from different nationalities so that the students’learnig and self-monitoring abilities could be improved.The third, in terms of students. We should help students develop good learning motivation, objective and attitude.and in accordance with the different nationality and characteristics of the students find mathematics learning strategy and method of study which are appropriate for them so as to improve their mathematics study self-monitoring ability, and at the same time make their mathematical grades better.Although the research of self-monitoring ability has already had great achievements, the researches involving Jin,zhuang and han nationality high school students’ self-monitoring ability in learning mathematics is, in the main,blank. Especially combining questionnaire with students’ practical mathmatics to make the research more exactly. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide in-depth reference for the theory of mathematics education for ethnic minorities in China. Also, to further improve the quality of mathematics education in minority areas.
