As China has opened its doors to the world, it has seen many international colleges open up. Asthese colleges take root and grow they are ever expanding their enrollment. However this poses a problem.As these schools are expanding the number of students applying for these schools are becoming fewer andfewer. In order for Colleges to stay competitive, they must begin to gear themselves towards quality; hiringhighly qualified professors and staff, for the time will come when the competition is simply between thequality of the teachers. Along with the changing human rights in our country this calls for a change inmanagement style and skill. Building and completing a teacher performance appraisal system, setting upeffective rules for salary, promotion, inspiration based on this system to promote the overall improvementof teachers’ qualities is the powerful way to improve the colleges’ competition.Proper management and teacher assessment are essential for this task. This plea is based on thehuman resource management of international colleges, combined with the case analysis of Chinese andForeign cooperation college. Regarding this topic the research and performance appraisal system inAmerica and England and the analysis of teachers’ performance appraisal system in China and foreigncooperation S college in nowadays,this thesis puts forward some useful suggestions.I hope this articlewill help establish some sort of teachers performance appraisal system, I also hope that this system willplay an important role in attracting and maintaining highly-qualified people through the development orproper management systems and in turn help our country continue to develop.
